This is the new Helen DeVos Children's Hospital which has opened on January 11, 2011. From what we observed in our Medical Mile media tour, It appeared ready for "our kids" right now. Of course we do not see behind the scenes, but they put their best foot forward for us to see, and it was quite a site. Words will not do this facility justice, so we here at MedicalMile.com have decided to let you see it first hand by pictures. 100 pictures to co-inside with the address of this state-of-the-art hospital, 100 Michigan Street, Grand Rapids, Michigan. A big THANK-YOU to Anne Veltema of Helen Devos Children's Hospital, our media contact for allowing us to be a part of the dedication ceremony.

Mrs. Helen DeVos gave the keynote address at the dedication ceremony
on December 3rd, 2010. She was honored by her husband, children and
several grand-children. There is a display in the foyer area of the hospital
that shows one of her most treasured possessions. She, her husband and
all of her grand-children on their family lawn. PRICELESS!

Much of the Hospital interworkings can be seen on their site located right here. MedicalMile.com gives you our readers a brief overview and an extensive photographic look at different floors. Ground floor is D, and moves up to floor 11, where in the center is a circular chapel with one special window. See photo pages.
